Mehmet
Şişman completed his undergraduate education at MARMARA UNIVERSITY FACULTY OF
ECONOMICS ADMINISTRATIVE SCIENCES, DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMICS. He completed his MA
and Phd degree at "MARMARA
UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SOCIAL SCIENCES, DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMICS OF DEVELOPMENT
AND INTERNATIONAL ECONOMICS”. The master
thesis is called “The Internationalization process of automotive Industry and
positioning of Turkey’s automotive industry” in 1988. The subject of his doctoral
thesis is “From Collapsing of Bretton Woods System to Nowadays, Effects on the
Peripheral Countries of the International ‘Potential’ Money Capital Movements:
Latin America and Turkey” (1996). He is working as an academician in The
Marmara University (Istanbul, Turkey) Faculty of Economics, Departmant of Economics, Economic Development and International
Economics Programme since 1988. Mehmet
Şişman has published three books and many national and international papers which are about “finance
capital, international capital movements and currency problems” He has
supervised 42 MA and 11 Phd thesis and has been teaching in international finance
and comperative political economics in different universities at Istanbul and
Marmara University. He is working as Prof.Dr.
in Marmara University Economics department and International Economics and
Economic Development programme since 2012.
